 Te Pūnaha Matatini is an organization that uses inter- and transdisciplinary approaches to address complex and critical issues in New Zealand.

This is a Māori-focused research organization, it is very important as a bi-cultural country for us as researchers to gather as much expert knowledge and data that represents all of New Zealand.

Kia ora, our names are Anita, Dhamminda, Katherine, Faamalu, Nyk, and Tina. We are Master’s students at AUT. What are the different types of flooding in New Zealand

In New Zealand, we generally see Fluvial flooding that is rivers and streams that overflow and break their banks, Pluvial which is surface flooding, where water builds up on the surface of the ground and can't be absorbed by the surrounding land, and Coastal flooding from high tides.
